Helping you to communicate your message

It was an honor in 2017 to assist the City of Forest Grove to refine their message and present it to the citizens. Voter information is so important to how our community and our country runs! The best possible vote is an informed one and with that in mind we set about our work. The City provided the message nuts and bolts, statistics and the wording of the ballot measure. They also provided the essential screening at their level and at the State level to be sure consequences to passage and to non-passage of the measure were appropriately presented. Our job? Our job was to help the community hear what they were saying. In informational work like this that includes several considerations:

  • Utilize an eye-catching design to attract people to look at the information.
  • Organize information into easy-to-read blocks.
  • Keep the message simple to reduce chances of being misunderstood.
  • Incorporate photographic images of the community areas we were discussing.
  • Produced English and Spanish versions as these are the top two language groups of this community.

We additionally spoke with both the formal and the informal communicators at the police, fire, library and aquatics facilities giving them suggestions of ways they could piggy-back messaging to educate the community beyond the printed pieces.
